Wisdom
Proverbs 3:13-18 "Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace."
WHY OBTAIN WISDOM?
Wisdom wil give you riches, honour and respect, it will guide your path and keep you safe.
Prov 3:14 - The profit of wisdom is better silver and her wages better than gold
Prov 3:15 - Nothing you desire compare to wisdom
Prov 3:16 - Wisdom offers life in her right hand and riches and honour in the left
Prov 3:17 - Wisdom will guide you down delightful paths, all her ways are satisfying
Prov 3:18 - Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her - happy are those who hold her tightly
Prov 3:19 - By wisdom the Lord founded the earth
Prov 3:21 - Good planning and insight will fill you with life and bring honour and respect, and keep you safe
Prov 4:6 - Do not foresake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you..
Prov 4:7 - Get wisdom, though it cost all you have, get understanding.
Prov 24:7 A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might, by wise guidance you can wage war and have victory.
WISDOM - OLD TESTAMENT
Be humble, live diciplined, know right from wrong and act accordingly. Fear God and shun evil. Walk with the wise, and please God.
Numb 12:3 - Moses was more humble than any other person on earth.
1 Sam 3:13 - If you do not discipline your children, judgement will come over them.
1 Kings 3:9 - Wisdom is knowing right from wrong, but also acting on it and then do what is right.
1 Kings 4:29 - God gave Solomon great wisdom, understanding and knowledge, and he could speak with authority.
1 Kings 4:32 - Solomon composed some 3000 proverbs and wrote 1005 songs.
Prov 1:7 - Fear of the Lord is the foundation of Wisdom- fools despise wisdom & discipline.
Prov 3:7 - Do not be wise in yor own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
Prov 11:2 - When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Prov 11:30 - The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
Prov 14:29 - Whoever is patient has great understanding & who walks with the wise will become wise.
Prov 14:1 - The wise woman builds her house.
Prov 18:15 - An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
Prov 19:8 - The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.
Prov 19:20 - Listen to advice and accept discipline, at the end you will be counted among the wise.
Prov 29:11 - Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.
Eccl 2:26 - To the person who pleases God, He gives wisdom, knowledge & happiness.
WISDOM - NEW TESTAMENT
Wisdom should be your main concern, to have a succesful life. Plan well with insight all the time. Stay humble. Live a life of dicipline. Know what is right and wrong and do what is right. Know that you need God, obey Him and put Him first.- Reconsile relationships- Do good deads- Do not take revenge-Let your word be good enough - do what you say-Give to the needy-Keep on asking and it will be given.-Be very careful to what you say.
Matt5 - Blessing to those who, are humble, gentle, seek justice, merciful, seek peace, pure heart, and realize they need God.
Matt5 - Let your good deeds shine, and reconcile relationships quickly, be faithful, let your word be good enough, and do not take revenge,
Matt6 - Give to the needy. If you make the kingdom of God you primary concern you will want for nothing, God will take care of you.
Matt7 - Keep on asking and it will be given, keep looking and you shall find, and keep knocking and the door will be opened.
Matt7 - Do to others what you like to have them do for you - the tree will be known by its fruit (thus by what people do, not just say)
Matt7 - Build on a solid foundation (obey God an put Him first) for the storm will come and you need to be sure you will stand firm.
Matt11:19 - Wisdom is shown to be right by what results from it.
Matt11:25 - Any Kingdom at war with itself is doomed, same also for a city and a home.
Matt11:33 - A tree is known by its fruit - your words you say will reflect your fate.
Matt12:36 - You must give on judement day account of every idle word you spoke (Be careful with you words).
Matt18:15 - Correct people in private not public when they have wronged you.
Matt20:26 - Whoever wants to lead must become a servant.
Matt22:37 - Love God with all if you, and love your neighbor as yourself.
Matt25:40 - What you do the poor you have also done to God.
Mark4:23 - The more you are willing to learn and listen the more you will understand.
Mark6:20 - It is from you thought-life that what you say and do comes from.
Mark11:24 - You can pray for anything, and if you belive, you will have it.
Luke6:27 - Love you enemies also, do good to those who hate you also - pray for all.
Luke6:37 - Do not judge or criticize others - else it will come back at you - foregive others.
Luke6:38 - If you give, you will recieve.
Luke6:43 - A good person produces good deeds from a good heart - a tree is known by its fruit, whether it is good or bad.
Luke 6:49 - Obey the teachings of God then you will build on solid foundation.
Luke 9:23 - Put aside selfish ambition, shoulder your cross daily, and follow God.
Luke11:10 - Anyone who seeks shall find.
Luke12:5 - Fear God who has the power to kill people and throw them into hell.
Luke12:21 - A person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.
Luke12:31 - God will give to you all you need daily when you make His kingdom your primary concern.
Luke16:10 - If you cheat even a little, you will not be honest in greater responsibilities.
Luke16:12 - If you are not faithfull with other peoples money, why should you be trusted with money of your own.
Luke18:7 - Plead with God day and night for justice and it will be granted.
Luke 18:13 - Those who sin, cheat, commit adultery, fast and dont thithe, but are humble, are more justified than those that do not, but are proud.
John8:7 - Let those without sin throw the first stone.
John 8:32 - You will know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
Romans 1:18 - God shows anger to those who push the truth away, and will lead to God abandoning them.
I Cor 1:20 - God's wisdom far outweigh the wisdom of man. (Man's wisdom is useless)
I Cor 7:31 - Do not become to attached to things of the world, for it all will pass away.
I Cor 14:1 - Let Love be your highest goal, but also desire the gifts of the Spirit.
II Cor 7:10 - God use sorrow in or lives to make us turn away from sin - sorrow without repentance lead to death.
II Cor 9:8 - Godly people give generously & cheerfully to the poor, and God will provide for you t omake this possible.
II Cor 9:11 - Do good and God will enrich you so that you can give more.
Gal 6:7 - You will always reap what you sow.
Eph 5:16 - Make the most of every opportunity for doing good, try to understand what God wants you to do.
Eph 5:28 - For a man is actually loving himself when he loves his wife.
Eph 6:2 - If you honour your father and mother - you will live a long life, full of blessing.
Phil 2:3 - Be humble - think of others as better than yourself, be interested in others in what they are doing.
Phil 2:14 - In everything you do stay away from arguing and complaining.
Phil 4:6 - Do not worry about anything, instead pray about everything, tell God what you need, and thank Him - peace.
Col 2:3 - In Christ alone is hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Col 3:23 - Work hard and cheerfully as though you do it for the Lord.
Col 4:5 - Make the most of every opportunity. Let you conversations be gracious and effective.
I Thes 2:4 - Our purpose is to please God, not people.
I Thes 4:11 - Live a quiet life, mind your own business and work with your hands.
I Thes 5:18 - Always be thankful , for that is God's will for you.
II Thes 3:19 - Whoever does not work, should not eat. Earn your own living.
I Tim 3:5 - If a man can not take care of his household, how can he take care of God's church?
I Tim 4:7 - Spend your time & energy into spiritual fitness - it promise reward in this life and the next.
II Tim1:7 - God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline.
II Tim 2:23 - Dont get involved in foolish ignorant arguments that only start fights.
Tit 2:8 - Let your teaching be so correct that it can not be criticized.
Heb 13:5 - Stay away from the love of money, be satisfied, for God will not fail or foresake you.
James 1:5 - If you want wisdom, ask God what you should do - and He will tell you, but you must expect an answer.
James 1:11 - Wealthy people will fade away with all their achievements.
James 1:19 - Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to get angry.
James 2:13 - If you show mercy to others, then God's mercy toward you will win out over His judement against you.
James 2:14 - What is the use of your faith, if you do not prove it with your actions? (do good deeds).
James 2:24 - We are made right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.
James 3:6 - Be very careful, your tonge can ruin your whole life.
James 3:17 - Wisdon from heaven is pure, peace loving, gentle and willing to yield to others, full of mercy, good deeds.
James 3:18 - Those who plant seeds of peace will reap a harvest of goodness.
James 4:6 - God sets Himself against the proud, but He shows favour to the humble.
James 4:8 - Draw close to God , and He will draw close to you, admit your dependency on Him. He will lift you up.
James 4:11 - Do not criticize or judge others.
I Peter 4:11 - Do all as if God Himself is doing it.
I Peter 5:7 - Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about what happens to you.
II Peter 2:17 - Do not promise much and then deliver nothing.
Rev 20:13 - Be careful what you do, for you will be judged according to your deeds.
